Badlands and Dinosaur Tour

What can happen in a few million years, eh!!!???
The Red Deer River badlands are a unique geological feature in Southern Alberta. You will be amazed as millions of years of geological splendor is exposed for you and your camera lens at Horse Thief Canyon. A short crossing of the Red Deer River on the Bleroit Ferry presents a bottoms up view of the canyon. Enjoy the splendor of the badlands as we travel up the narrow canyon of the Rose Bud River on our way to our lunch destination at the Last Chance Saloon in the tiny village of Wayne located 8 km. southeast of Drumheller. The route is locally known as the Eleven Bridges Road since there are 11 bridge crossings of the Rose Bud River on the way to Wayne.
Your tour guide will provide you with an informational commentary of the geological history of the Badlands and the significance of the Drumheller region in establishing the Royal Tyrrell Museum as Canada's leading palaeontological research and exhibits facility.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum is Canada's leading palaeontological research and exhibits facility. The exhibits at the museum are guaranteed to “WOW!” the kids and amaze adults of all ages. If you thought that Jurassic Park was cool, wait until you see what the real T-Rex and Raptors looked like; and if you were a bit hesitant about going into the water after seeing Jaws, you’ll really think twice after seeing what swam in the ancient seas 75 million years ago
